What he says that it only happens in third world countries. He is out of his freaking mind. In the developed world, people are prosecuted and jailed all the time for exceeding their authority and causing loss to the public funds/money.
I feel sad when I hear such BS from so called expert.
The other day I heard BS from another Dr. Haq on Economy and Taxation. My jaws dropped from his answer and logic.
To make the things worse, the two presenters on Public TV then run with his comments and started to accuse FBR for lying that only limited Pakistanis pay taxes, i.e. the direct taxes. When individuals are mentioned for tax purposes it is always in relation to Direct Income Tax.
The companies pay corporation tax.
The general public pays "Indirect taxes" on goods and services all over the world. Nobody comes tax payer because he had been paying indirect taxes on goods and services. You cannot charge it as personal taxes you paid on indirect taxes, nor you can ask for its refund, unless you are overseas visitor and there is a scheme running for refund for overseas visitors like for VAT in the UK
