strictily speaking..........canstantinople has geography that of a peninsula......u r right............actullay bay shape is horn like.........that why name given golden horn.....u know it is hard for commoners to understand such terms as difference between sea and bay,,,,,,,,,,so they take bay as sea:)

Sultan Mohammad Fateh was of Kurdish origin and as revenge British divided Kurdistan in many parts between Turkey,Iraq and Iran after WWI. I used to wonder what is the issue with Kurds and why are they considered badly treated. Now I have a better idea as to what happened to these people and why.

How does Sulat Salahud din being a Kurd excludes Sultan Fateh from being one too?

I could be mistaken but please tell me what ethnicity was Fateh then?

No, He was Turk of Usmani (Ottoman) ethnicity. There are many documentaries on him. One is mentioned in Post no 5. BBC also has a doc on him, available on youtube.
