two persons hanged in sialkot

A few days ago there was news that the killers who lynched two brothers in sialkot will be hanged on 8th april. but there is still no news about it. instead i found this news today of two hangings in sialkot but they are not related to the before mentioned case. so why that rumour was propagated? was it like wag the dog to divert attention from some issue.
