ISLAMABAD: Famous religious evangelist Junaid Jamshed was beaten at Islamabad airport by religious extremist while travelling to Islamabad. He was beaten due to his remark about Prophets (PBUH) wife however he has publicly apologized for his ignorance.
Attackers are said to be travelling from Karachi on the same flight to attend Mumtaz Qadris mourning processions in Rawalpindi. One of the group members Nehal Riyaz identified himself on his Facebook profile and posted a video of the incident.
He also tagged his accomplice Akhtar Munshi who can be seen chanting religious slogans against Junaid Jamshed. Jamshed was shaken by the first attack tried to approach the attackers to inquire the issue upon which the attackers accused him of blasphemy.
Nehal Riyaz on his social media profile declared that he and his group was involved in the attack on Jamshed whereas, an F.I.R has been lodged at Airport Police Station. Police has requested Airport Security Force for the video footage to identify the attackers.

Junaid Jamshed was shaken after yesterdays event and now he has filed a complaint against the attackers. Islamabad Police has nominated seven unknown attackers in the F.I.R pending investigation and arrest.
Suspects are still present in Rawalpindi, where they are visiting Mumtaz Qadris shrine to pay their respects on his Chehlum.
Nehal Riyaz in a conversation on his Facebook profile claimed that it was his group that attacked Junaid Jamshed and his accomplice Akhtar Munshi can be seen charging on Junaid Jamshed. Riyaz and Munshi traveled from Karachi with Mushi Khan and Zain ul Abdin.
Junaid Jamshed in a video message apologized publicly on his remarks.
