How come when music is Haram in Islam, Qawali is not?

Both are Haram as it is nothing to do with Islamic teaching

Music is not haraam........if you regard music as haraam then next time dont recite azaaan and quran in lahen......as they also give a hint of music............( from music I meant sounds)

Music and reciting Azaan are two different things.

You don't play music during Azaan and reciting Quran.

کسی بھی میڈیم کو حرام قرار نہ دیں کیونکہ یہ صرف اس کا استعمال ہی ہے جو اسے حلال حرام اور جائز ناجائز بناتا ہے- وہ شاعری ہو موسیقی ہو انٹرنیٹ ہو ٹی وی ہو موبائل ہو یا سپورٹس ہوں
