I think it was an explosion in the battery compartment due to faulty batteries leaking hydrogen, similar incident happened a few years ago.

This sub was leased from Russia for 10 years at a cost of $1bn... Big set back for Indian Navy.

Russian submerged vessels have a pathetic record of multi axis safety. The explosion was gigantic which points to the possibility, of heat penetration into the armoury of the submarine. It also could be possible, that the electrical suite onboard flared up as the result of a short circuit which might have penetrated and ignited the hydrogen capsules or other gases that are stored on the vessel for compression, breathing and contingency.

A human disaster none the less, RIP to the deceased souls.

کل ہی بھارت کا ایک ٹی وی شو دیکھنے کا اتفاق ہوا جس میں اینکر نے بہت یقین سے بھارتیوں کو یہ اطمینان دلایا کہ پاکستانی پائلٹ ایف سولہ اُڑاتے وقت غلطیاں بہت کرتے ہیں لہذا جنگ کی صورت میں تشویش کی کوئی بات نہیں۔
