واشنگٹن: امریکی صدر ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ نے بھارتی نژاد پال کپور کو جنوبی اور وسطی ایشیا کے لیے اسسٹنٹ سیکریٹری آف اسٹیٹ نامزد کیا ہے۔ اگر ان کی تقرری کی سینیٹ سے تصدیق ہو جاتی ہے، تو وہ اس عہدے پر فائز ہونے والے دوسرے بھارتی نژاد امریکی سفارت کار ہوں گے۔

پال کپور بھارت، پاکستان کی سلامتی اور جوہری امور کے ماہر ہیں اور پاکستان کے سخت ناقد سمجھے جاتے ہیں۔ وہ ٹرمپ کے پہلے دورِ حکومت میں امریکی محکمہ خارجہ کی جنوبی ایشیا پالیسی ٹیم کا حصہ رہ چکے ہیں۔

اس وقت پال کپور امریکی نیول پوسٹ گریجویٹ اسکول میں پروفیسر کے طور پر کام کر رہے ہیں اور اسٹینفورڈ یونیورسٹی کے ہوور انسٹیٹیوشن میں وزیٹنگ فیلو بھی ہیں۔

ٹرمپ انتظامیہ نے پہلے بھی کئی بھارتی نژاد امریکیوں کو اعلیٰ عہدوں پر تعینات کیا ہے، جن میں کاش پٹیل کو ایف بی آئی ڈائریکٹر اور سری رام کرشنن کو وائٹ ہاؤس کا آرٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس پالیسی ایڈوائزر مقرر کرنا شامل ہے۔

یہ تقرریاں ٹرمپ انتظامیہ کے دوران بھارتی نژاد امریکیوں کی اہمیت اور ان کے کردار کو ظاہر کرتی ہیں، جو امریکی خارجہ پالیسی اور سیکیورٹی امور میں اہم کردار ادا کر سکتے ہیں۔​

Agree on no importance part due to colonial remnants still ruling the country but if the country can be freed from colonial remnants, it is a very large and important country with 6th largest population and market in the world if it becomes really free and stops operating as an enslaved colony.

What happened to the Fauji Foundation boycott, People forgot and moved on.
