In this specific context, terrorism has nothing to do with 'worldly' education. Terrorism is a mind-set that is developed through the 'environment' the person grows in. Wether in the university or at home, it's the company that moulds the mind of the person. The development of terrorist mind-set doesn't get developed in classes while listening to the lectures of professors. It's developed in out-of-class discussions, out of home evenings/nights with the same sort of company that the person keeps.
So, it's important for parents, right from the childhood of their kids, to educate their children on the bad effects of a bad company, to teach them the value of good company, to provide them an environment where they are attracted towards good company, in stead of going astray.
In our society, parents often don't give proper training/environment to their children right from the beginning. When these children grow up, they choose their own company, following their own likes and dislikes which they have developed on their own, in absence of any positive training from the parents.
When parents realize that something has gone wrong with their son, it's often too late to convince him change his track.
AND THEN...One day..... it happens....boom
