پاکستان شوبز انڈسٹری کی سینئر اداکارہ دردانہ بٹ کورونا کے باعث انتقال کرگئیں۔اداکار خالد ملک نے دردانہ بٹ کے انتقال کی تصدیق اپنے ایک سوشل میڈیا پیغام میں کی۔

انہوں نے لکھا کہ ’دردانہ آپا دنیا چھوڑ کر خالقِ حقیقی سے جا ملی ہیں، عقلمند، مزاحیہ، بصیرت والی داردانہ بٹ ایک خاص روح تھیں، جو اب اس دنیا میں نہیں رہی ہیں۔

‘اداکار کی پوسٹ پر صارفین کی بڑی تعداد دردانہ بٹ کیلئے دعائے مغفرت کررہی ہے۔اس سے قبل خالد ملک نے ہی ان کی علالت اور وینٹیلیٹر پر منتقل کیے جانے کے حوالے سے بتایا تھا۔

Years and years ago when I was in my teens, and was in Pakistan, Durdana Butt used to like my singing. When Tanhaiyan drama was going on , she arranged a music concert at PACC Karachi. That is Pakistan American Cultural Centre. She also invited me to sing among other singers such as Naiyara Noor. I had a pleasure of meeting Tanhaiyan cast who also attended the concert. Those days I had a huge crush on Shanaz Sheikh. :-) so I was very excited to meet her.
I left Pakistan the following year and also quit singing. Durdana Butt had done an MBA from the USA and she was also a pilot. She was very talented. Later she became the principal of Beaconhouse school.
I used to call her Madam. I used to tell her that Madam, I am not a good singer to which she used to say, No. You are. Sing a song before you leave :-).
May Allah rest her soul in peace.

Wow, this I didn't know, its never been mentioned before or in any of her bios or interviews. I think it should have been highlighted. A woman pilot in Pakistan even today is a big deal let alone in the 70s and 80s along with being a very talented actor.

Yes many people don't know that she did an MBA from states and her being a pilot. She was not a commercial pilot.
Perhaps she leaned to fly when she lived in the USA. She did minor roles in TV dramas that's why people don't know about her.
Also very down to earth. She would sit with us while we used to practise singing for the concert on the floor. Also she used to smoke while sitting with us on the floor. I used to say " Madam may jah raha hoon . Because I am getting late. To which she used to say. ARAY AIK GANA OR SUNA DAY PHIR CHALAY JANA. " she was very very friendly with us. But when she didn't like something, she also had a short fuse. She would always tell us off in English : -)
She was well off, She had numerous senior positions besides being a principal of a renowned private school . She was very fluent in English.
