We love the Prophet Muhammad pbuh but this love has a limit we cannot go beyond or below. For example, because of our love of the Prophet pbuhwe cannot say he is the son of Allah, as the Christians went into an extreme in loving their prophet. If we did this, we would be just like the Christians.
