Why people have become so beghairat

[Truth matters]

I have seen it over and over again in gulf people that do have money,they have a job,their salary is good enough to cover their costs,they may have even land and houses back home but are waiting in lines for free food and sometimes running over others,fighting and arguing with others to get food.I just don't understand ,It maybe okay for someone who has no money but you see grown up males as I won't call them men running around to get some free food.No wonder people from the subcontinent are not respected because they have lost their self respect.

At some point, I got agitated and asked him why are you so worried about differences in pennies. He would check prices for everything he bought from multiple stores then buy the cheapest. He told me that he is not only supporting his family but also his younger brothers who are in college and university and old parents. The bills run up pretty quickly if you have a large family. I apologized to him for being blunt and judging without understanding his situation.

I would encourage you to not to judge people, maybe they are earning good but a lot of family members depend on them.

Bro, sometimes it is not greed but circumstances. I have recently hosted a Pakistani professor here in the Netherlands. His trip was completely covered by the university here and he had a good salary. He was saving every penny.

At some point, I got agitated and asked him why are you so worried about differences in pennies. He would check prices for everything he bought from multiple stores then buy the cheapest. He told me that he is not only supporting his family but also his younger brothers who are in college and university and old parents. The bills run up pretty quickly if you have a large family. I apologized to him for being blunt and judging without understanding his situation.

I would encourage you to not to judge people, maybe they are earning good but a lot of family members depend on them.

Not judging but this is also not an excuse to be so cheap while you are holding mobile phones of maybe 1000 plus riyals for a few riyals biryani handout.

Even I saw people eat Sahr & iftar for 30 days from Zayed charity at Shaik Zayed masjid. Its been part of their some people nature. Just go to Data sahib (Hazrat Ali Hajver) in lahore and you will see people living in lahore and have quit well off & sorted in their life but love to eat charity or langar food or better to say free food

Well, I have never lived in any ME country. Once visited UAE and found Arabs most racist nation. As soon as they saw my green passport they started treating me like shit. I had a British passenger behind me and was shocked at the level of treatment. I have never witnessed any of this in US or Europe.

I pray and hope that one day you would be in that position and also have the responsibility to feed a family back home... phir daikhta hoon kon say Ritz Carlton main rehna afford ker sakta hai tu ..jahil admi.

Again, bro, the unemployment rate is very high in Pakistan. For someone with no degree, you will suffer to get a job that will pay for your tuition. Majority of part-time jobs would require you to work in hours you need to attend school/college or university. I was fortunate that my parents were able to support my education but I have seen people dropping out because of finances because they couldn't cover the tuition even with part-time jobs.

What you are saying is quite true. It is unfortunate and we all know the reason when our so called Prime Minister are on job visa in those countries and our President & other political leaders hide their black money in these countries then they will definitely treat us like that.

Last year during a project at STC HQ in Riyadh, we all went in a car and one of pakistani friend/colleague having US passport and that Yalla/arabic Badu was literally licking his hand and praising US & blue passport. And that is very reason we have little respect of Imran Khan that at least he said once that there will a day when these people will respect pakistani passport too

Had been in a situation where i had no money to even buy food for a day, mager na kisi masjid mein gaya na kisi k aagay haath pehlaya!! Allah se maanga, Allah ne dia!

You are usually one of my favourtie poster. I am very disappointed by your this post though. I hope you will reconsider this. You are generalizing two countries here. Many Pakistani's are also business owners here and many like me go to good universities. It is circumstances due to which some people cannot afford housing. I know a few who lived like this and then after getting good jobs bought houses. So, not sure what is your point ...

Yes, I agree with you. Alhamdulillah I have never been in a situation where I have to beg. I pray to Allah none of us ever get to that situation. I personally think it is not easier to beg, it is definitely very humiliating.

I once volunteered at an iftar distribution charity in Ramadan and you would think the poor people would at least know the value of food and that they shouldn't waste it but the entire floor was covered in rice and meat. Not only that but those who were on bikes and cars stopped for a free plate of food despite knowing that it was meant for the homeless indigents on the streets. The people of Pakistan have lost their honor if it ever existed.
