Why a State Funeral is not offered for Dr AQ Khan?

A state funeral is a public funeral ceremony, observing the strict rules of protocol, held to honour people of national significance. State funerals usually include much pomp and ceremony as well as religious overtones and distinctive elements of military tradition. Generally, state funerals are held in order to involve the general public in a national day of mourning after the family of the deceased gives consent. A state funeral will often generate mass publicity from both national and global media outlets.

Why the Government not give Dr AQ khan one?

It is true that we are a nuclear state but heavily dependant financially on the handouts of the west. The western world is in the constant worry on how to 'de-fang' us. By giving a state funeral to our 'father of atom bomb' we will antagonize the west further. We are already in trouble because of 'Absolutely not'. Until we gain Financial security there is no such thing as an independant policy. Dr AQ Khan will always live in our hearts.

Stop spreading lies moron. Mohsin-e-Pakistan's funeral was done as per his last will and wishes of his family. Another mohsin of Pakistan and amazing philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi's did not expressed such wishes and the Govt. after consulting his family arranged a state funeral in a stadium. I am quite sure they all wanted to but the USA would have been very unhappy. Don't forget it was George Bush who accused him of selling nuclear secrets to North Korea. Only to please the USA Musharaff had to put him under the house arrest . Even if Dr. Qadeer was guilty of doing such things he wouldn't have done without the instructions of the Army. Why was he made the scapegoat?
