@ Ayesha Rana- we are very much far behind on fifth generation fighter.
Only best solution for us would be to buy J-31, but still we need to see what systems Chinese can offer us with J-31.
and we can continue modernizing JF-17 Thunder and its airframe to meet the challenge of fifth generation fighter.

Let us be realistic.Currently only America and China have the ability to produce stealth fighters.Russia is struggling to make stealth fighters due to financial constraints and some technical issues.Pakistan has gained a lot of experience from JF17 project.The next step should be to built a fighter with stealth capabilities with China's help.

IA, do not mind but in at least 10 years. I hope Block III for JF-17 comes with PL-15.

Its not the air frame itself but for a fifth generation, electronic systems shall be specially designed.
Its the system which make the fifth generation fighter a true fifth generation fighter.
Still there is no plan but an early level system requirements finalized.

Air Martial knows better but it would be better if we use chinese stealth coating for our existing fleet. It will provide an extra protection against indian radars.

For fifth generation, we shall modernize the air frame of JF-17 and accomodating existing systems available in the modernize airframe.

Our fifth generation aircraft is currently under development “Project Azm” operationally you are looking at least 6-8 years. Before posting one needs to understand what makes a fighter jet 5th generation. Unfortunately we have quite a few lemons around who make castles in the air .

OP, you need to correct the thread heading. No where he said that Pakistan has made the 5th Gen fighter jet, all he has said that Pakistan has started the work on it. Project Azm is at very early stage. It will take us at least 5 years before we see a flying prototype.
