Police Hunting Taliban for Dr Imran Farooq Murder.

A TALIBAN killer was being hunted last night after a Pakistani political activist was murdered outside his London home.
The counter-terrorism command at Scotland Yard yesterday took over the investigation into the murder of Imran Farooq, 50.

The dad of two was stabbed to death by a lone Asian killer as he returned home to his flat in Edgware.
His wife Shumaila witnessed the attack after she heard screams and looked out of a window at the property.

Mr Farooq was a leading member of the anti-Taliban Muttahida Quami Movement, the fourth largest political party in Pakistan.

He went on the run in Pakistan after he was accused of murder.
Mr Farooq claimed he had been set up by political opponents.

He came to Britain in 1999 when he was granted political asylum.

He rented the flat under a false name.

But last month Mr Farooq called for a revolution in Pakistan following the floods.

A friend said: "We are in a state of shock. We cannot believe he was murdered in the UK."

British investigation process is quite lengthy whether it is Imran FArooq assasination or spotfixing allegations.
Rite now most Pakistanis feel being targeted by British media who are conducting a similar media trial of Pak cricket team, twisting board's language, spreading rumors of South African players not willing to play PAkistan and asking for ban of PAkistan cricket for at least one year.
If Altaf hussain, or Pak players are felt responsible instead of doing a smear campaign against them all the parties should first see charges being brought against them in a court of law.

It has successfully ventured out of Karachi-Haiderabad. All other parties are losing voters and in defensive mode. There are millions of Muhajirs in large numbers in many cities in punjab. And above that is millions more punjabis who are just tired of the lack of hard working leadership to vote for.

It is really pity that we talk about ethnically. Languages are there there to communicate not a test of loyalty to the country.
