I do not have time to go into details of blockchain and bitcoin but you seem someone who has a very basic knowledge of crypto world.When it comes to dr masood he loudly said in his show,he has the details of 37 bank accounts of imran ali and he he has all the proofs of those accounts in his file but when the court asked about the proofs he could not proof even a single account. And do i know state bank did not ban cryptocurreicneis after his show. At the time when cryptocurrencies were banned in Pakistan.i called a guy who is in the top management of state bank and asked him for the reason" according to him there was too much pressure from the media in the context of zainab case and dark web. " Do not defend yellow journalism unless you dr massod yourself and do not compare Asif ali zadradri and other corruption cases with yellow journalism.Take care and have nice day.
I tend to agree with you he shouldnt have mentioned so much technical details, knowing fully well that the manual banking system of Pakistan is very easy to manipulate. He should have been smart enough not to dig a trap for himself, or maybe he did that for sensationalism, as you said.
But his allegations are on online child pornography ring in Kasur is neither new nor surprising. Thats the main point! I agree with you on the sensationalism part, but the bigger issue is the existence of Child pornography mafias on such a large scale in our country !! Despite creating sensationalism, he did raise the issue, he even showed online videos of (identified )Pakistani children being exploited. And the court neither commented on that nor rejected that claim. Maybe behind the scene court did take some action with agencies against this exploitation and kept it away from media to avoid sensationalism. Wallahu Alam.
As i said before I hate the sensational journalism as much as you do, but security of our small brothers and sister is far bigger and important subject. And give credit where credit is due he did raise this issue.
As per the cryptocurrency, I dont know on what basis are you claiming that I have limited knowledge on that topic. I didnt disagree with you about the benefits of the cryptocurrency. All I mentioned was that CRYPTOCURRENCY is the main mode of payment on online black market these days. and again I do agree, Dr Shahid Masood shouldnt have mentioned the use of cryptocurrency , knowing full that media and the society is stupid and immature to the point that they will push for it to be banned, as you mentioned here in this post.
But coming to the point why State Bank actually banned it. Yes there might be pressure from media and some places, but the pressure wasnt that big for state bank to comply to. They are just using this as an excuse. The convential banking is the main target of the crypto currency. That media pressure was just an excuse that SoP representative gave you. One more thing, doesnt this sound fishy to you, the media has already rejected the narrative of existence of darkweb ring in Pakistan why would they pressure it ?? And most importantly why would they put pressure through backdoor channels rather than using the TV channels itself, doing that they would create more sensationalism and get more TRP (the soul target of the media empires). Do you think our media has such a Moral standings that they would go out of the way and miss the chance to create more sensational news items ?? Keeping in mind this is the media that sent their reporter to the freshly dug grave of Abdul Sattar Edhi to do a small report from inside the grave ?? Seriously read between the lines and try to identify the crap.
Coming back to Shahid Masood, he creates alot of sensationalism, and I myself dont believe a lot of things he says, but I would say he has
atleast 30% percent substance in his reports (70% being sensationalism) which although not good, but is one the best (or least worst) that we have. I try to identify that 30% substance (which includes alot of inside information from militiary, intelligence and politicians). This ratio goes waay waay down when it comes to other Anchors.
