ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Finance has blocked the Higher Education Commission (HEC) funds after which the chairman wrote to the university vice chancellors about the non-availability of resources for salaries for the next three months, Geo News reported.

Talking to Geo News, Chairman HEC Javed Laghari said an installment of Rs 7.7 billion was to be transferred to the HEC for different purposes during April to June but owing to its devolution issue ministry of finance has halted the funds.

He further said that Rs7.7 billion were allocated for staff and daily expenses of 71 public universities of the country for the fiscal year 2010-2011.

What do you want PTI to do in this case? Meet Zardari and discuss it with him? I think people look too much at PTI which has no responsibility as its not in government. This is what PTI can do and has done already i.e give its point of view:

I think this is a good chance for the government to reimburse the funds to buy bullet proof cars, that will be an excellent gift for our public servants who work 'tirelessly' for 'us'.

if PTI has no responsibility then IK should sit in his home he should not be in politics............

PTI has the responsibility to defend national interest ...........

PTI using its resources on useless afia siddiqe issue should use its resources on this issue which is of our national interest.
