For a good Muslim, it should mean following or entering into Islam in every aspect of life and in totality. Its distinct features are two: (1) harmonious equilibrium between temporal (dunyavi) and the spiritual (ruhani), permitting a full enjoyment of all that Allah has created, exploring His universe both scientifically and metaphysically, belief in one Allah without images, symbols and partner and (2) all believers becoming brothers and sisters and equals without any distinction of class, race, colour or tongue in an Islamic society.

Prophet Mohammed (SAWW) taught theology and eschatological dogmas to his followers and also gave them laws concerning all activities of life, individual as well as collective, temporal as well as spiritual. Moreover, he created a state out of nothing in Medina after migration from Mecca which he administered, set up a system of diplomacy and foreign relations and resolved matters of litigation amongst his subjects of all religions but left many of their disputes relating to their customs, rites and inheritance for their religious elders to decide expressing Muslims respect non-adherents religious values and practices.

Prophet Mohammed (SAWW) when he settled in Medina with his followers constituted a city-state in which Muslims, Jews, Christians, pagan Arabs all entered into a social contract. The constitutional law of the first Muslim Mediana Riasat succeeded in promulgating as its:” To Muslims their religion, to the Jews their religion, to Christians their religion, and to pagans (kufars) theirs' and there would be benevolence and justice dispensed to all both by the state. As long as the Muslims followed true Islam and its teachings as preached by Prophet Mohammed (SAWW), they dominated the world and the day they ceased, they became insignificant and degraded.
Islam does not divide humanity on the basis of colour, creed or national and geographical divisions but lays emphasis on strictly personal responsibilities and duties for the good of whole humanity and man's accountability to Allah on the Day of Judgement for his every deed. Islam does not believe that this life on Earth is an end to itself but in the belief in the hereafter, and Allah says in the Quran, "The best in this world as well as the best in the Hereafter." It praises the good and condemns the evil and also provides rewards and sanctions, both spiritual and material.

A Muslim has no right to be called a Muslim unless he believes in peace (as-salaam), love, harmony, hope, and mercy by reflecting piety and righteousness in their deeds.
