LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said only Prime Minister Imran Khan has the authority to remove her from her office. In a talk with a private TV channel, she said that she might not be coming up to expectations of the prime minister.

She offered that the premier could replace her if he found a more suitable person for serving the health ministry. To a question, she said all party members of the Punjab Assembly were with Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, and she was comfortable in working with the incumbent chief minister.

You can be the best doctor in the world....it doesnt mean you have the MANAGEMENT skill to run a hospital or a ministry. You can be the BEST batsman in the world (Tendulkar)....but it doesnt mean you can manage a team. Tendulkar FAILED as a captain. You can be the BEST Pilot in the world....that doesnt mean you can manage an airline. You can be best computer programmer but it doesnt mean you have the management skill to run a company. Inko pata hi nahi kis ko kahan lagana hai....Doctor ko minister health bana dea hai. Take Fawad CHaudhry....he is by profession a lawyer...usko Sciente and technology mein laga dea hai. Technocrats yes....but who will make them realize it.....they put Bureaucrats in semi government/government positions then they expect results. You have to build institutions....you will have to hire the best brains in the country but mostly from outside the country and give them TARGETS and hold them responsible if they dont meet them. Yahan ek bureaucrat fail hota hai he is transfered and another is brought in.

Pakistan needs a health minister with vision and someone who can think big. No one cares if she can control medicine prices or number of staff in hospitals and make hospitals look clean. The country needs huge improvements in health care and new hospitals/centres outside the big cities. Currently every rural citizen has to travel hours to get to the nearest hospital. No chance to survive emergencies such as heart attacks. My Parental home is in a village nearly 25 miles away from Rawalpindi where the cardio hospitals are.

If people don't see any change in health care provision then what is the difference between PTI and the other parties?
