Even in Pakistan,Saudia & Other Muslim countries, there is no punishment on quitting Islam.
Reason?
Even if a person quits Islam and becomes Murtad, he/she is still eligible to denounce and come back to the fold of Islam. 3 Times to Try. If not , then Only fully Islam Practicing Muslim Country (if the guy/girl lives there) can behead the Murtad or can outcast him from country.

BTW , There is no Ayah, Haidth that stops you from mingling with a Murtad. You can always meet him/her for tableegh Islam.
