The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is not in favour of creating another province within Sindh, Prime Minister Imran Khan declared on Friday during a visit to Karachi.

In a meeting with leaders of allied parties, the prime minister said that there would be no need for division in Sindh after the local government system, which has been introduced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, is implemented in the PPP-led province.

The meeting was attended by Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Khurram Sher Zaman, Faisal Vawda, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi and others.

Prime Minister Imran also held a meeting with a delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and assured the business community, which has been rattled by the recent economic jolts, that the government will provide them as many facilities and assistance as possible.

He urged the business community to benefit from the tax amnesty scheme recently announced by the government, Radio Pakistan reported. He also asked the private sector to play its part in economic development and stability.

The delegation during the meeting put forward its recommendations and proposals for economic growth.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi and Adviser to PM for Commerce, Textile and Industry Production Abdul Razak Dawood also attended the meeting.

Prime Minister Imran also chaired a meeting to discuss the implementation of the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme in Sindh so that low-paid citizens can purchase property. The programme is already underway in parts of Balochistan and Punjab.

PTI’s proposed local government system is great. That will empower local representatives and can solve their problems. If all the city governments are empowered and get their fair share of budget then there is no need for new provinces in Pakistan

Then with your beautiful logic there is also no need of division of punjab by creating a new province in it.
But here is the double standard.
PTI wants division of Punjab by creating South Punjab province. If Punjab can be divided to make a new province then why not Sind?
Have you heard a famous English saying
"What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander "
See this video how PTI supports South Punjab province.

Punjab has population half the size of Pakistan and it includes districts such as Bahawalpur that were not formerly part of Punjab province. Can’t compare that to Sindh.

Karachi is one of the biggest cities of the world which deserves its own provisional government . By the way Karachi was also not a part of Sind when Pakistan came into being. Karachi was the capital of Pakistan in 1947 and capital does not belong to any province but comes under federal territory. As today Islamabad is not part of Punjab but is under federal territory.

There are no city provinces in Pakistan and historically Karachi was a part of Sindh so there is no possibility of turning Karachi into a province, its the bread and butter and main city of Sindh

Historically Pakistan was part of India, so Pakistan shouldn't have become an independent country?
Point is at the inception of Pakistan, Karachi was not part of Sind, full stop.

Pakistan was not a part of India it was part of Durrani empire and prior independent kingdoms. British did not arrive in Pakistani territory until 1840s.

Pakistan has been Indianized in the last 70 years due to Muslim refugees mostly from UP and Bihar. The official language of this region for last 2000 years has been Persian and this region was culturally and linguistically seperate from India because of natural barriers such as the mangrove swamps in the south and the Rajhastan desert acting like a natural boundary line. Even if you read the mahabhartha the geographic region of present day Pakistan was a seperate kingdom from India.

Pakistan was not part of India 72 years ago?

Why didn't he say Saray Jahan say Acha durrani empire hamara

Can you be more specific?
Are you talking about historical India of last few thousand years or are you talking about East India Company and British India?

If you are talking about EAC then yes Pakistan along with India, Bhutan, Burma, Nepal were British colonies that they chose to name British India.

But if you are talking about India as in historic sense then no, majority of areas encompassing modern day Pakistan were either independent Kingdoms or part of Afghan/Persian empires.
