Islamabad: President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi has summoned the sessions of Joint Parliament and National Assembly on August 30 and September 2 respectively.
According to details, President Alvi has summoned the Joint Parliament session on the advice of the Prime Minister Imran Khan on August 30, under constitution's article 54.
The Parliament session will open with the address of President Alvi pertaining to the one-year performance of the PTI-led government.
The session will be held on 5 pm in the Parliament House.
On the other hand, the president has also summoned National Assembly session on September 2.
Speaker Assembly Asad Qaiser will preside over the session that will began on 4 pm.
