Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday directed newly-appointed director general (DG) of Wajid Zia to tighten the noose around those involved in money launderers.

PM apprised Zia that curbing corruption, immigration and money laundering remains the top agenda of the government.

“Pakistan is standing at the crossroads. Political leadership will give the vision while country’s bureaucracy will implement it”, the premier was quoted as saying.

“Together, political top brass and bureaucracy will ascertain the future of the country”, added premier.

PM urged Zia to perform his duties with utmost honesty.

On the other hand, FIA DG assured the premier that he would leave no stone unturned to perform his tasks efficaciously.
