Pakistan & India should start building more 'political, goodwill bridges' (As Singapore and Malaysia)

Killing one and another has never solved a problem. Leadership of both countries needs to understand this factor. Neither can India kill all 200 Million plus people of Pakistan and nor can Pakistan kill all countless number of Indians. It is just insane and a sure short way towards destruction. Both countries need to step back on their stance, sit down and talk their way towards a peaceful solution so that people of both countries should finally be able to concentrate towards more productive matters.

Singapore and Malaysia should start building more 'political, goodwill bridges': ESM Goh

SINGAPORE - Singapore and Malaysia should start building more political and goodwill bridges between their leaders and peoples, said Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
Mr Goh referred in a Facebook post on Thursday (March 21) night to Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's remarks that both countries must be connected by three or four more bridges to ensure smoother traffic flow.
"Mahathir wants to build more bridges between Malaysia and Singapore. Their cost-benefits should be studied," Mr Goh said.
"In the meantime, let us start building more political, goodwill bridges between leaders, Members of Parliament and our two peoples."
He noted that Singaporeans and Malaysians have grown increasingly apart since Separation in 1965, and successive generations will find each other more unfamiliar.
"I favour closer and stronger links between Malaysia and Singapore, both physical and political," Mr Goh said.
"We are neighbours, and forever will be," he added.
During the Invest Malaysia conference in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, Tun Dr Mahathir spoke of how Penang is planning to have a third link to mainland Peninsular Malaysia.
He added that Singapore traffic is much bigger than Penang's, and that he did not understand why Singapore does not want any more bridges.
Both countries are linked by the Causeway at Woodlands and the Second Link at Tuas.
In his first stint as prime minister, Dr Mahathir had mooted the idea of a crooked bridge to replace the Causeway. The project - which would see a six-lane S-shaped highway for vessels to pass under - was dropped by his successor Abdullah Badawi.

Pakistan is willing to do it's 'should' part;
When is India going to do it's share of the 'should'?

BJP/RSS and other extremist Hindu groups don't want peace with Pakistan.These extremists don't even accept Pakistan as an independent country.They want to create Akhand Bharat by annexing Afghanistan,Pakistan,Nepal,Bhutan,Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.They will have to give up this absurd idea otherwise there will be no peace in the region.

The very idea of annexing Afghanistan , Pakistan and Bangladesh will negate the Hindu majority. The untouchable class will convert to Islam in droves and the Brahmin superiority will go up in flames. Gandhi and Nehru knew this fact and agreed to the partition of the sub-continent and not out of love for humanity. Let the Hindus start the fire and the RSS and their goons will the biggest losers. You will see the Pathans on the forefront as there is no history of recent conversion to Islam from Hinduism and Sikhism. The other big casualty of the agenda of RSS will the Sikhs, but the RSS is exploiting Indra Gandhi's killing and the subsequent massacre of Sikhs for an electoral gimmick. Let,s see what happens after the Indian elections and a clearer picture will emerge. The biggest problem that Hindus will face if they are successful will be subduing Pathans. They faced decades of blasts and mayhem but did not moan and cry. The continued living in the difficult time with stoicism and faith.
