No, you are dragging it in the wrong direction.

Freedom of speech doesnt depend on lobbies, you can say whatever you want against the strongest lobbies, against Zionism, against republicans and Trump, against the oil lobbies etc its all allowed.

But you are not allowed to spread hate against a group of people whether its Jews or Muslims.

The theme is ideas vs human beings. Its got nothing to do with lobbies.

West will never allow certain religions to receive special treatment and be immune from criticism and mockery, even Judaism is not safe from that.

But if we are talking about Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism then that is a completely different topic. I don't think anyone in West will disagree with you that lives and properties of Muslims should be safeguarded. Muslims are already protected from hate speech under freedom of Speech. Islam is an ideology like Judaism, Nazism, Bolshevism, Zionism etc and therefore it is not protected.

Here's a video of Richard Dawkins mocking and making fun of Jewish 10 commandments nothing happened to him.

This is the unbridled power in a country that is purveyor of Freedom of Speech!!!

That has nothing to do with the country, its one professor in a university. Its a case of discrimination which exists and its wrong. And if you are trying to build a case that Muslims should also lobby to discriminate against employees who criticize Islam then that is also wrong.

And you cannot say that this represents the society or that it is supported by the society. Many people are speaking out about it and we will see what happens.

In a further response to the law school fiasco, a “Statement on Palestine Speech Suppression and University of Toronto Faculty of Law,” signed by more than 1,400 lawyers and academics, said the signatories were “deeply troubled and exasperated by the pervasive repression of speech and scholarship on Palestine.”

Signatories included public intellectuals such as Angela Davis, Viet Nguyen and Noam Chomsky, and Richard Falk, the former UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian human rights.

This is wrong and people are speaking out about it as well.

This is just to show the Raw Power.

There is a reason they extort several billions from the US along with the help for Egypt!!!

One can again come up with various excuses for this support, but the main reason is the Powerful Lobby.
