Need clarity foes and friends

What happened to the much awaited never heard before construction package to help daily wagers and pump life into our sinking economy? Are we like always gonna delay vital decisions. Where the hell is our leadership. A few examples of delayed responses are our delay in going to the IMF program, delay in dropping interest rates because of hot money and delay in announcing a lock down during this pandemic. Please indulge in an educated debate and lets not make this a thread about Patwari this, Pootiyan that and Mr 10 percent. That's my humble request. We should think of Pakistan.

I know that but they have boasting about it. Be it Shahbaz Gill, Firdous, Babar Awan, the newspaper, and Asad Umar. It is important.

I was hoping he would announce the good news today. Aaj ki speech tu bilkul bikr thi. Rehashing the old rhetoric of ghabrana nhi hai.

I totally agree with you but projects like these require money and at the moment that money is required to fund the same people..

With due respect you are wrong. IK can give an amnesty scheme and people investing in construction projects should be allowed not to give source of income. Another way is to bring the old fixed tax regime which was successful compared to the current flawed tax system. Construction industry lifts 33 other ancillary industries. And also gives employment to the second biggest informal sector of Pakistan.

Well I am not an economist but at the moment I don't think anyone would be thinking about investing in anything rather than holding on to what they have as no coronavirus solution in sight in near future...And as we a struggling economy so investment will take a while to come back into play..

I doubt it if these guys are serious. Total focus is to help APTMA, little do they realise ke textile products ki demand would be less because of USA and Europe almost in a shut down like situation.

Well I am not an economist but at the moment I don't think anyone would be thinking about investing in anything rather than holding on to what they have as no coronavirus solution in sight in near future...And as we a struggling economy so investment will take a while to come back into play..

I wouldn't but ppl with black money which is in abundance would. Make favourable conditions. Remove with holding tax, bring fixed tax regime and trust me industry khud uth jayae gi

How many times in the past has this amnesty been given to legally launder black money into white and what have been the results?

What makes you think results will be any different now?
