Navjot Singh Sidhus commentary is as attacking and aggressive as his batting during his playing days. His commentary is tremendously irritating and while he gives his expert opinion on teams performances it tends to cross the limits of decency. And for which Mr. Sidhu had not been granted happily by many.

Sidhu is giving his expert opinions on Star Sports and ESPNs show hosted by Harsha Bhogle during this years ICC World Cup before the start and end of matches. Also with Sidhu there are Ian Chappell, Tony Greig, Sourav Ganguly, Tom Moody, Patrick Symcox and many other ex-cricketers.

In that show, Sidhu gave some insulting opinion about the Bangladesh cricket team and for which Sidhu is the person to be hated by all the Bangladeshis. A Bangladeshi cricket fan named Dipon sent an email to the ICC stating Sidhu as a racist. According to Dipon the comments which Sidhu gave regarding the Bangladesh cricket team violates the ICCs code of conduct.

The ICCs CEO Mr. Haroon Lorgat took Dipons email with importance and went through those video footages in which Sidhu gave his insulting remarks towards Bangladesh. Mr. Lorgat assured Dipon that the ICC has told Star Sports and ESPN to be careful in future. Mr. Lorgatt also sent this email to the BCB chief Mostafa Kamal and ICCs MD, David Richardson.

So what did Mr. Sidhu do? On investigation it was found that, before the match against the West Indies while giving an explanation to Ian Bothams comments, Mr. Sidhu gave an insulting remark towards the Bangladesh cricket team. Botham said that the Tigers are a head of the West Indies in the race for the quarterfinals. But Sidhu while giving his explanations said that both the birds and cockroaches fly but the cockroaches are not birds and he compared the Bangladesh cricket team with the cockroaches.

Dipon in his email said that according to ICCs code of conduct rules any person insulting a nation or religion during an international cricket match deserves to be punished.

And Lorgat in reply said that the ICC have taken the matter with great importance and have and after investigating they have really found the evidence of violation of the ICCs code of conduct rules.

Perhaps the ESPN and Star Sports team too will take proper initiatives on the matter and will try to get rid of such persons who have no sense of respect and gentleness.

Subject: Anti-racial remarks and ICC Code of Conduct Article 2- RACIAL OFFENCE

To: Haroon Lorgat

Cc: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]...m, [email protected], [email protected],

Attn: Mr. Haroon Lorgat, Chief Executive Officer, International Cricket Council (ICC)

Dear Sir,

It has been observed that ESPN-Star TV commentator Mr. Novjot Singh Sidhu has deliberately commenting against Bangladesh Cricket which is a clear violation of ICC ANTI-RACISM CODE FOR PLAYER SUPPORT PERSONNEL under Article 2- RACIAL OFFENCE that refers

"2.1 The following conduct, if committed by a Player or Player Support Personnel at any time during, or in relation to, an International Match, shall amount to an offence under the Anti-Racism Code:

2.1.1 Engaging in any conduct (whether through the use of language, gestures or otherwise) which is likely to offend, insult, humiliate, intimidate, threaten, disparage or vilify any reasonable person in the position of a Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire, Match Referee or any other person (including a spectator) on the basis of their race, religion, culture, colour, descent, national or ethnic origin."

Mr. Navjot has no sense of manner and we are so offended by his comments like 'even cockroach is a king in his territory'....'when Ian botham said Bangladesh has better chance over WI of qualifying into Quarter Final...its pain"!" and so on and on and on...(REF: BD vs IRE Post match analysis on Star Cricket)

We strongly protest his offensive racial remarks against Bangladesh cricket. We do believe ICC has maintained zero-tolerance against racial remarks as it is considered to be a serious offence by ICC.

If a spectator is not above this Ant-Racism law then why a TV commentator should not be show-caused in this matter.

I look forward to your kind attention and action in this regard.

Thanks and Regards,

Deepon

Dear Mr. Deepon

The issue that you have raised had caught into my attention and we are completely aware of the fact on this matter. ICC has strictly maintained zero- tolerance in any form of racism related to ICC Cricket. The initial video evidence of the alleged offence had been reviewed by ICC and it indicates the breach of anti-racism ICC’s code during this event.

ICC has cautioned ESS, officially appointed broadcasting partner for the event through IDI (ICC Development International Limited, the commercial arm of the ICC) to follow the code of conduct applicable to all.

We deeply regret on this issue.

Kind Regards

Haroon Lorgat

Another passionate and honest man like Google Master Abdul Qadir who speaks truth and the only truth. Bitter truth is not tolerated and becomes irksome. Hat's Off for Navjot Sigh Sidhu. True and sincere Punjabi who is not aware what soft spoken wickeds are practicing for laurels and acclamation.

This man Sidhu is a Muhammad Ali wannabe imitating the great boxer's style poetry, he is a complete joke with his ridiculous dress sense and silly sense of humour!. The thing with racism or any form of religious discrimination is that it can be returned to every community with interest, i can think of many things to say to Sidhu but will refrain!

A failed cricketer, commentator and movie star Sidhu has also spent time in prison after he attacked an innocent man in Chandigarh a few years back for parking his car in the wrong place, this tells us everything about his cheap character! This *** retard is a bully who needs a good slapping!

Few more information regarding Navjot Singh Sidhu:

Source Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navjot_Singh_Sidhu)
In December 2006, Sidhu was found guilty and sentenced to a three-year prison term for culpable homicide following a road rage incident. Sidhu had allegedly assaulted a man in 1988 over a petty dispute over parking vehicles in Patiala. The victim, a 65-year old man named Gurnam Singh, subsequently succumbed to the injuries that were inflicted on him. Sidhu resigned as a Member of Parliament after the court decision and in January 2007 appealed to the Supreme Court.[3] The Court stayed his conviction and sentence allowing him to contest and win the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat in February 2007.[4]

AVJOT KAUR, wife of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member of Parliament (MP) Navjot Singh Sidhu attempted to commit suicide at her residence in Patiala. His wife has been admitted to Sadbhavan Medical and Heart Institute in Patiala on Saturday morning (July 5).

The doctors however said it is a case of food poisoning. Sidhu who was in Amritsar rushed to Patiala and visited his wife in the hospital, but he refused to talk to the media. It is learnt that Kaur, a MBBS doctor posted in a government hospital in Patiala was under depression for quite some time and was taking anti depression drugs.

Dr Sudhir Verma, the doctor attending her however claimed that it was case of food poisoning and that she is being treated for it. The report of alleged attempt to suicide by Sidhus wife has sent shock waves among family members and friends of Sidhu. The relatives of Kaur are camping in the hospital. Sidhu however went back after meeting the doctors.
