As some of the siasat.pk members know I also write poetry. I thought I should write a poem For the Talibans coming back into power. The idea came to me just a few hours ago. So this is what I wrote. Give us your feedback. So here it is.

The Talibans have come back into power

Kabul they captured in less than an hour

The young and the adults were filled with Dread

Though invasion of Kabul had no bloodshed

The Rule of the US has come to an end

Afghanis have learned they’re not their friend

The Pride of Modi is entirely deflated

Frustrated he is and utterly humiliated

Ashraf Ghani has left his house

Lo and behold he escaped like a mouse

The allied of US are widely beset

Kissinger’s advice one must not forget

Foes of Americans are sometimes in trouble

But friends of the US will always be rubble

THE END

The poem is documented in a way,
a political scenario gloomed in a verbal sway,
words are merely reflected, poetic taste is dejected,
so, its better rather learn Alaf, Bay, Pay.

Good effort, but the word invasion in the following line is not correct

Though invasion of Kabul had no bloodshed

it must be changed with one of the following words

conquest
triumph
control
success
takeover
achievement
gain

Taliban are here, the grave digger has grabbed his shovel
Knowledge saab what is the meaning of this chawal?

I have no interest in poems or poetry
Sabr ker jao mian, whats the hurry

Abhi to aaien hain rakho thorda sabar
Thorday hi din mein nazar aye ga unka aasli colour.

Wow. Well done.

My favourite dialogues in the movie "Dead Poets Society" are

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.

The teacher encouraged his students that anybody can write poetry as long you have passion. Have you watched Dead Poets Society?

By the way, your effort was good. You must have written the above verses off the cuff. With a little practice, you could write better.

Thanks, but I have absolutely no interest in poetry, I don't even like to read or listen to it. Let alone write it.

Dead poets society is a movie I've been wanting to see since it came out, but for some reason or the other it always eludes me.
