Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said that Gandhi's Bharat was completely different from Modi's Bharat, praising Gandhi for running two peaceful movements.
The minister lauded Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi by saying that he showed the power of tolerance, love and restraint to the world.
Criticising Indian PM Narendra Modi, the minister said in his twitter post, "Gandhi led two great movements one in South Aftica other in India both based on principles of Ahimsa or non violence, what he showed to the world was power of tolerance, love and Sabr (restraint)."
"Present India under Modi is thematically opposite to what Gandhi envisioned", he added.
