Mazaa Ah Gaya ! A slap on Indian government face by Israel's Jerusalem Post

Before clicking on the link at the bottom to read the whole article about Kashmir printed in the Jerusalem Post yesterday. I would like you to see some major points raised in the column.

What I loved most in the Jerusalem Post newspaper column was this paragraph .

==================================================
Looking ahead there is no doubt this crisis will draw in regional powers into an international geopolitical crisis. India has taken a grave risk. While Pakistan’s military may be smaller than India’s, its capabilities are far greater.
Pakistan demonstrated its military prowess and readiness for battle by retaliating at India in February
after India struck Pakistan in reprisals for a jihadist attack that claimed the lives of 40 Indian soldiers.
In swift response, Pakistan shot down two Indian Air Force jets, capturing one pilot and humanely releasing him back to Indian custody shortly thereafter. The incident shook India, whose military has not been engaged in widespread warfare of any scale for decades.

=======================================================

These are some other salient points of the article
===================================

Hindu nationalism is on the ascent, under the watchful eye of a national leader who was diplomatically banned for almost a decade by the United States, Britain and other European nations because of Hindu nationalist riots resulting in the massacre of Muslims as he governed Gujarat.

Since then Modi has only intensified his mastery of corralling and directing anti-Muslim violence, empowering Hindu extremists toward unmitigated vigilantism. The subjugation of Kashmir will only ignite them further.

Pro-Modi Indians argue that this move was democratic because an elected Prime Minister made the decision. The reality is that the unilateral occupation of Kashmir can only be seen under Indian law as profoundly anti-democratic and has been labelled as such by Indian opposition parliamentarians, and not merely for the sake of opposition, but out of fear and shock.

Back in New Delhi, in parliament, there are only a few representatives from Jammu and Kashmir. Most of them were not present and only one spoke during the dismantling of Article 370.

Certainly, a handful of states may form a voting majority. But astute critics correctly expose this as not democracy but majoritarianism, or the tyranny of a brute majority quashing the rights of vulnerable minorities.

Note that not even authoritarian China has dared do this in Hong Kong, nor has Israel, despite almost 70 years of lethal regional conflict which threatened her existence.

At the same time, many ignore the rise of Hindu nationalist fundamentalism against Muslims inside India. The Gujarat riots have been politely disregarded, but must be taken in context.

Now that Kashmir has been muzzled, India’s 200 million domestic Muslim population must rightfully fear for local reprisals from emboldened nationalist fanatics.

It is conceivable that India is emboldened by witnessing Israeli settlement efforts on disputed territories. Though deeply criticized – including by Israelis and counter to international law – Israel has been able to pursue that without significant sanction.

=====================================

Finally I will request all the siasat.pk members to please support the article on the jpost website. A lot of Indians have abused the author of the article and there is hardly any support for her in the comment section.
Jpost is the most read newspaper of Israel and this paper is read all around the world.
When I read abuse written about the author, I wrote a comment supporting her .
My comment on the jpost website is under "purplecone ".

Hope you support anyone who appreciates our country and appreciate our Army.

you only have to read the comments under the article to see where Pak stands in the world right now and how bad the image of Pak is right now. Don't tell me those are indian comments. This is a reality. Pak has worst image in the world. With bad image and broken economy Pak is very weak to raise voice for KAshmir.

We need to improve our image and fix our economy before asking world leaders to listen to us on Kashmir!

And this is the shame that no newspaper in Pakistan can articulate the situation in such words as this article has written . With a very viable force and with great dignity . It exposed the real Satan with Indian act . It is also a reminder to Pakistan army that this issue will not be settled by any international organization since India has become economical interest of the world with huge populous and consumer market.
It is also heartening to read that Pakistan army with all its faults still strong enough to teach Hindus a lesson or two provided their leaders at the top find enough balls to take a first step.

The irony in those comments is everyone is praising indian government and here we are no mater what happens in the world, we bash Pakistani establishment, Pakistani government, and everything in Pakistan. People talking freedom but they don't know with freedom comes responsibility. Are we a responsible nation? Do we have national interest ahead of us or every person is self centered and don't give a damn about this country. Once we ask this question from ourselves, we will get the answer why is this nation nose diving.

regarding comments, article got through and approved by papers editorial policy, otherwise it would have not been published, regarding Pakistani news papers, dawn and nation are voice of India,
Overall, it’s a long road, but fascist Hindus will and are helping the Kashmiri cause to become a issue on international stage, biggest mistake they made,
Kaptan is setting up the fields very wisely, fascist Hindus won’t get away with this.

This article was written by Qanta Ahmed , a British Pakistani Women

Qanta A. Ahmed
is a British physician specializing in sleep disorders. She is also an author and a newspaper columnist.

Ahmed is the daughter of Sunni Muslim Pakistani immigrants to Britain.[2] She graduated from the University of Nottingham. She went to New York City for medical training. Without a US visa to extend her stay, she left to practice in Saudi Arabia for a year. She wrote down her daily experiences as a woman practicing medicine and published them in a book. In June 2013, Ahmed visited Israel, speaking at universities and research institutes around the country.[3]

Her views on Islamism

Ahmed has called for the State Department to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, saying that in the doctrine of political Islam, or Islamism, the faith must be expressed through statehood and that "Islamists exploit democratic institutions to further their sectarian aims", citing the regime of Mohamed Morsi in Egypt as a recent example of the consequence of Islamists rising to power. According to Ahmed, Islamists in the West are not attempting to Islamize society as a whole, and such calls are alarmist. Nevertheless, they "[aim] to drive a wedge between Muslims and the wider society. By encouraging separatism and indoctrinating its members with the totalitarian tenets of 20th-century Islamism, the Muslim Brotherhood seeks to disrupt the fabric of democracy". Furthermore "Exposing Islamists as dangerous totalitarians is not an act of anti-Muslim bigotry but an essential defense of both liberal democracy and Islam"

She says she is an accidental Zionist

Ahmed is opposed to the boycott against Israel, saying that the boycott movement attempts to vilify Israel.[3] Ahmed is opposed to the occupation of the Palestinian Territories, but admits that she doesn't know how Israel can relinquish control over a region hosting "a virulent Jihadist ideology" and leaders calling for Israel's destruction.[3] In 2010, Qanta wrote, "Call me an Accidental Zionist, if you must, but Eretz Yisrael is a vital shelter, an only shelter, from lethal, genocidal anti-Semitism... If we care for wider humanity at all, we must all be 'accidental' Zionists and want for the Jews, for the Israelis, what each Muslim already has for themselves: a future, a nation and a faith, secured."

Gee you took long to dig out about her from Wikipedia.
But here is a question for you.
Was the article printed in a Pakistani newspaper?
Was it printed in an islamic country's newspaper?
So what which God she worships and where was she born. The main point is,
It was printed in the most popular newspaper of Israel.

Her Indian supporter koh kitni mirchain lagee hain is baat kee mujhay bohat khushee hay.
