If she is so modest that shes covered up like a ninja, which Islam has no requirement of then she better stay home only.
This forbidding of mixed gatherings and ninja type dresses are all wahabi and mullah inventions. There is no such restriction in Islam.
As far as the marriage thing is concerned he is 100%, seen so many marriages go to hell because of desi parents sticking their nose into things.
