There is one way to validate your point of his popularity. Local body election. Why you think he has been holding them back. ? Try it in Punjab and see what people think about his choice Waskim Akram plus in polls.

There is a universal rule that things should be done at the right time/place. Any idea/product is bound to fail if not done when the time/place is right unless there is some luck involved. As for the people I personally know many civil servants who talk ill of Imran khan and you know why? Because previously no government cared if government employees are really working but now they are made to work for their salary and they don't like this strictness from the government. Similar is the situation of economy, people don't care if PML-N was taking Pakistan towards default.

Conclusion: if students are given democracy in a class, they will probably never take a class and get educated. Meaning that the opinion of majority doesn't always need to be right. So should we be doing what's done by the majority or support what is right?
