A recent case reported in media speak of a pakistani origin lady getting pregnant without wedlock by some person in a European country and parents hoodwinking her to visit pakistan by talking about his brother's marriage and she being subject to forcible abortion by parents and now this is further source of incrimination of the parents.

Then there is talk of a girl from Italy been put to death by her kins perhaps accidental while beating and parents are in serious grip of law .

Punishments are required both ways.

The issue of trying to prevent effects of west's basically animal type sex culture on Muslim pakistani's girls is often a losing battle for parents who emigrated to west and stayed there a bit too long . This lack of sexual propriety is now much entrenched in Pakistan in under 40s as well . You can see all type of unmarried couples all over pakistan , they do not even bother not to show cheap actions in front of elders . The new generation will retort if you ask him or her to stop smoking in front of elders.

State controlled media and private media has made Pakistani new generation what was previously called "Baghairat" and lot of credit for this goes to Musharaf and neither Zardari nor Nawaz has done anything about it .

Muslim culture is seriously threatened in Pakistan itself and religious parties are no match for this .

Coming back to original topic , the moral laxity of Muslim pakistani women locally and abroad is nothing new , this issue has been around for some three decades now but till recently it was not discussed in media .

This country needs a new Zia ul Haq to set things right from ideological point of view . Older bhutto was also taking pakistan to direction which Musharaf took but Zia stopped it .

Designing of careers of females is also a need keeping in view Islamic values , much trouble comes from not trying to adapt society in some workable fashion for both males and females in Islamic light.

a) there is no such thing as honour based on how the women in our families behave... this kind of honour is just a figment of our imagination!
b) your emphasis on what Pakistani women are up to is confusing as you seem to under the impression that only women do Zina... they are doing it with a man afterall, often a Pakistani man as well but somehow your cultural values have vanished when it comes to men doing the same
c) its rather horrible of you to excuse the murder of that girl by insinuating it was accidental... stop this white-washing of murder! They are murderers and too bad they are in a country which doesn't hang murderers!
