Well, he shouldn't have wasted his young age in Pakistan.. He should have joined Australian or English domestic leagues and applied for citizenship.
Had Usman Khuwaja been in Pakistan, he would've been ignored like him. Good that he said bye bye to the motherland and joined a world class team in a country that values merit.

Yes, with an average of 41 in tests (only 6 innings), 40 in ODIs (36 innings and 12 Not Outs), and 56 in First class, he is surely a failed batsman according to Pakistani standard.
Pakistan needs Shan Masood type batsmen, with higher averages like 26, 22 and 34 in Tests, ODI and First Class cricket.. or Imam ul Haq, who couldn't score a single ton in 19 test innings (highest is 76 while Fawad's highest in just six innings is more than 150) and his first class average revolves around the number 35.. yes 35!!!
Pakistan team deserves the respect it is getting all over the world.. Say thanks to the selectors who think like you.. who see style more than the batting averages.

Poor chap couldn't get a chance after his third match.. His career started in July 2009, and ended in November 2009..
His third and last test was on New Zealand's fast pitches, where even Pakistan's "talented" batsmen fail.. he made 29 and 5..
If only 3 matches is the criteria of assessing someone, then Imam ul Haque should be given to a firing squad..

Bhai, you need score.. who gives a fcuk to the style? You know Bradman had a problem in his style, but Australians never complained about that.. His elbow wouldn't come in the line of the ball.. He used to play with a crossed bat swing.. Today, he is the father of all batsmen..
That's right.. Micheal Bevan was an ugly style player.. yet he gave nightmares to the best bowlers in international cricket.. Kameena out hi nahi hota tha..

Look with Karachi domicile one has to be an extraordinary talent to be selected. Like Asad Sadiq who is a back bone of Pakistani batting line up.
Sarfraz was extraordinary too with batting and still the best keeper in the country but as soon as he got the competition, he has been kicked out.
Karachi domicile player in the team is like a Muslim player in Indian cricket team. If you see a Muslim in the Indian cricket team then it would mean he is a great talent so India cannot leave him. Same goes for a Karachi domicile player in Pakistani cricket team.
By the way ask anyone who knows cricket in Karachi that Why Fawad Alam is not in the team despite brilliant first class record, all will give the same answer as I did above.

If style of play was the criteria, then Younus Khan would have never played a single test match. He played around 120 and scored over 10000 runs. As far as strike rate is concerned, if a player plays at around 40% but scores big, he is an accomplished test player. Who is asking Fawad to be played in ODIs or T20s. Play him only in test cricket like you do with Azhar Ali and Asad Shafique. Iftikhar should have played only in white-ball ( ODI + T20I) cricket. So, slot is available for Fawad Alam to play in test team if mr. tuk tuk wants him to select.
