I think most of people with reasonable understanding of Cricket, kept saying throughout the T20 WC 2021 that Hassan Ali is not the right inclusion in the team mainly because of his form and playing conditions. But Babar and perhaps the Team Management kept backing him up. Just couple of days before the Semi Final, Babar said that Hassan Ali is a Match Winner and hence will remain integral part of the team.
Now after the match is done, we all know how Hassan Alai played a major role (though not 100% reason of the loss) in the defeat.
I think same is the case with Usman Buzdar who despite severe criticism by political pundits and clear incompetence shown for last 3 years, is still backed up by IK, who still believes that Buzdar will prove himself Wasim Akram Plus
Unfortunately for us, stakes are too high for IK. While Babar just lost one Cricket WC and will have another opportunity in 11 months time, in IK's case a nation's hopes will be lost and the corrupt mafia may come back against to rule and ensure no IK can ever born to assume power in Pakistan.
On the lighter note, perhaps both Babar and IK were right. Hassan Ali proved himself a Match Winner and Buzdar proved himself Wasim Akram Plus but ------------- for opposite parties.
