Today Brent & OPEC basket crude oil price is about 71$/barrel. Adding refining & transportation costs & profit of suppliers cost to govt was 104.5 Rs per litre without any tax So today govt lost Rs5.5/litre. Remember there was 17% GST in last govt that was already reduced to 2%.
