I am not an advocate of Military intervention into politics however I am also not an advocate of Bashing Armed forces so a weakened Pakistan is easy to split for our enemies. Majority of Generals are not Corrupt and there few that are and we know who they are. Most of those are the ones that were superseded over their seniors to Achieve political goals and Benefits. Two examples. Both General Zia and General Musharraf were Superseded over many many Seniors because the rulers of the time thought that these were Generals without Lobby. They failed to Recognized that these are the ones out of the whole lot That are ambitious enough to overthrow your govt. Not all Corrupt Generals are superseded we had Fazle Haq in the Time of Zia and we also had Kiyani's Brothers.. having said that I personally know generals that are now retired and were not corrupt and can barely make their ends meet. so when you says Generals you are talking about a large number of Military officers not only the ones who toppled governments.
Most Generals are not Corrupt. If that was the case our forces would not be among the best battle hardened ones in the world today. If you do not believe me ask the American forces who are retreating from Afghanistan and they will tell you only one reason for their Defat and that is ISI...

This is a discussion that has to happen about what the structure of Army should be. This Ardilee culture has to go away from our forces. Who will do that. Army themselves... Never. We will need a government that is not Corrupt and delivers to people and has the support of the people behind it and then we can start that conversation. Right now we are not only wasting time but even it is counterproductive. My hope from imran Khan is that he is not Corrupt. He has the potential to lead such a movement. Whether he will be able to do that in the long run or not has yet to be seen. You can call him Zani for point scoring if you want. He is the only politician I know who is popular and honest. he has some challenges on the capability front I agree but i will take that over corruption and treason any minute.
We are all here and Siasat pk is also here we will see if Bashing Army will accomplish anything. I think not... Sometimes we go too far in our zeal to bash army and start hurting the institution that we need for our security.
