حیات آباد فیز 7 میں دہشت گردوں کے خلاف آپریشن کو 9 گھنٹے سے زائد گزر گئے ہیں تاہم اب تک مکان کو کلئیر نہیں کیا جاسکا۔


پشاور پولیس نے گزشتہ رات انٹیلی جنس اطلاعات کی بنیاد پر حیات آباد میں واقع 3 منزلہ مکان میں دہشتگردوں کی موجودگی کی اطلاع پر کارروائی کی تھی، آپریشن کے دوران مکان میں موجود دہشتگردوں کی جانب سے شدید مزاحمت کی گئی۔ فائرنگ کے تبادلے میں اب تک ایک پولیس اہلکار شہید جب کہ 5 دہشت گرد ہلاک ہوچکے ہیں۔ دہشت گردوں کے خلاف اس آپریشن میں پولیس کو سیکیورٹی فورسز کی مدد بھی حاصل ہے۔ عمارت کے نیچے کے دونوں حصے کلیئر کردیے گئے ہیں اور اوپر کے حصے میں دہشت گردوں کی مزاحمت جاری ہے۔

پولیس اور سیکیورٹی فورسز نے علاقے کو گھیرے میں لے رکھا ہے جب کہ ایس ایس پی آپریشن اور سی سی پی او پشاور بھی آپریشن زون میں موجود ہیں۔


وزیر اطلاعات خیبر پختون خوا شوکت یوسف زئی کا کہنا ہے کہ حیات آباد فیز 7 میں ایک مکان میں دہشت گردوں کی موجودگی کی اطلاع ملی، پولیس موقع پر پہنچی تو دہشت گردوں نے فائرنگ کردی، پولیس نے گھر کو گھیرے میں لے کر علاقے کا محاصرہ کرلیا، اطلاعات ہیں کہ 6 سے 7 دہشت گرد گھر میں موجود ہیں۔


وزیر اطلاعات نے بتایا کہ پولیس اور سیکیورٹی فورسز کا آپریشن تاحال جاری ہے، پولیس کے اور فورسز کے مکان میں داخل ہونے پر دوبارہ فائرنگ کی گئی اور 3 راکٹ لانچر فائر کیے گئے جواب میں پولیس نے آر پی جی سیون راکٹ لانچر بھی فائر کیا ہے۔

Security forces have shot dead five suspected terrorists in an operation in Peshawar's Hayatabad. The operation started on Monday night and finished Tuesday afternoon after 16 hours.

A policeman was shot dead in the exchange of fire too. Two people have been injured.

The operation was carried out after the security agencies were informed that terror suspects have been hiding in a house in Hayatabad. Two suspects are still hiding inside the house.

Two explosions were heard during the operation too.KP Information Minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said that they were tipped off about the presence of terror suspects in the area. The suspects have been accused of attacking judges and AIG.

The Peshawar police CCPO lead the operation.

Drone cameras are being used to monitor the movement of the suspects.Peshawar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood visited the area too.

On Monday night, KP Rescue 1122 tweeted that an intelligence-based operation has been carried out by security forces at Hayatabad, Phase 7, Sector E-5. The area was cordoned off by the security forces.
