I wouldn't advise reading cover to cover as the Quran is not written in chronological order. And the author's insistence to make it sound poetic has made it vague and less objective to understand. I showed you that this argument is flawed. Main reason for sex is not kids since you need to have sex only once every 9 months to have a kid but we know humans engage in sex much more often than that.

Quran was not complied by me or anyone else it was compiled by Caliphs who came after Muhammad so I do not understand this question... The versers and Hadith that I quoted are all references with verse number and hadith number please look again.

There isn't any confusion over Tafsirs, most Sunni Muslims agree to the major Tafsirs, and the ones that Shia disagree with, most of the authors they agree with give a similar explanation as the other Tafsirs.

I am not a liberal, I am a rationalist, I only support a position what can be reasoned based on empirical evidence. There are some religions and some cultures that seem to promote the idea that women are inferior to men therefore a man can have 4 wives while a woman can have only one husband, and that the testimony of a man is worth twice as much as that of a woman therefore woman should be locked up in their homes. No evidence supports this position therefore I oppose it.

Abrahamic religions insitutionalize the inferiority of women and almost half of the world follows these religions. Countries that were predominantly Christians have improved since WW1 but Islamic countries still hold barbaric beliefs that a woman is subordinate to a man. You cannot challenge patriarchy in these societies unless you challenge the underlying beliefs, or they are simply going to say God says men are superior to women.
