FIA to grill Musharraf in BB case

ISLAMABAD: Government has decided to expand the scope of probe into the assassination of Ms Benazir Bhutto, as a joint investigation team of FIA is in process of dispatching a questionnaire containing 32 queries to former President Pervez Musharraf.
The questionnaire seeks to obtain explanation for what it termed gross negligence in provision of security to the slain Pakistan Peopls Party leader and former prime minister of Pakistan.
The then minister for interior Brig. (Retd.) Javed Iqbal Cheema has held Gen. (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf responsible for holding the news conference immediately after the assassination of Ms Bhutto.
Well placed sources have disclosed that Pervez Musharraf is being dispatched a questionnaire along with relevant documents of the case.
Former president Pervez Musharraf had not been nominated in Benazir Bhutto murder case nor has he been part of any formal investigation in this regard. However, in the latest development the serious and tough questions by joint investigation team of FIA have put Pervez Musharraf in a defensive position.
