Dr. Aafia has become the hot topic everywhere. People who support the extremist elements such as Al-Qaeda and Taliban mentality are calling her Daughter of the Nation" or the "Lady of Islam" etc. but very few people know the true facts about her. For anyone to see the truth in this story, he or she has to throw away the goggles of Islamist extremism and look at the facts to decide. I bet, once the facts are put forth, you will see another face of this lady who is as dangerous as many Al-Qaeda leaders who have damage the image of a moderate Muslim living anywhere in the world.
Million Dollar Question: Millions of women work and travel across Pakistan everyday safely, why they don't get kidnapped by FBI? Why only Dr. Afia Saddique was wanted by FBI?
Dr. Afia was not an innocent housewife cooking food in her kitchen, waiting for her husband to come home and was taken in to custody. She is an educated Pakistani-American girl who made a choice to use her education and knowledge for Al-Qaida and support and assist Al-Qaeda in its missions. She broke the law in United States where she was a citizen and wanted by FBI for her involvement with extreme elements. She is not directly involved with Al-Qaeda but is a supporter and sympathizer.
The story goes like this...Siddiqui was one of three siblings raised in Karachi, Pakistan. Her father, Muhammad Siddiqui, was a "British-trained" doctor and her mother, Ismet, a homemaker. Her brother, an architect, lives with his wife, a pediatrician, in Houston, Texas, USA. Her sister, Fowzia Siddiqui, is a Harvard-trained neurologist in USA and worked in "Sinai Hospital"(Jewish owned), Baltimore USA. Afia Siddiqui moved to Texas in the United States in 1990, joining her siblings.
After attending the University of Houston(USA) for her freshman year, she transferred to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Its is pretty visible that the entire family loved Britain and especially United States of America. The family loved to educate themselves with Americans, live American lifestyle, worked with Americans and Jews and accept American Citizenship to live peacefully in United States. The family made a choice to leave Islamic Republic of Pakistan and live, educate and work with the people whom they are calling "infidels" to fool the Pakistani nation and to use the sympathies of Pakistani people and the political leaders who like to score points on these kind of issues.
Dr. Afia was religious minded girl. She wanted to see Pakistan become a Islamic state like Talibanization of Afghanistan. In her early years in USA while studying, she wrote a research proposal "Islamization in Pakistan and its Effects on Women". After graduating from MIT (USA), year later, Siddiqui wrote an article for the MIT Information Systems newsletter about the "File Transfer Protocols" and the then-"emerging World Wide Web". In 1999, while living in Boston, Siddiqui and her husband founded the nonprofit Institute of Islamic Research and Teaching.[8] She attended a mosque outside the city, where she stored copies of the Koran and other Islamic literature that she distributed. She went on to graduate study in "cognitive neuroscience" at Brandeis University, receiving a Ph.D. degree in 2001 for her dissertation, titled "Separating the Components of Imitation." She also co-authored several journal articles.
In May 2002, the (FBI) questioned Siddiqui and her husband regarding their purchase over the internet of $10,000 worth of night vision goggles, body armor and military manuals including The Anarchist's Arsenal, Fugitive, Advanced Fugitive, and How to make explosives or C-4.
Guess what she and her husband told FBI. They claimed that these were for hunting and camping expeditions. Can you believe that answer? Will u hunt with night vision goggles, body armor, military manuals and bomb explosives? Knowing that FBI has started investigation and sooner or later they will be charged on June 26, 2002, the couple fled the United States and returned to Karachi Pakistan.
Because of FBI investigation and couples decision to leave USA brought their marriage to brink of a collapse. Afias husband called her of being abusive and manipulative throughout their seven years of marriage, and said that Siddiqui had a violent personality and extremist views, leading him to suspect her of involvement in jihadi activities.
He has also said that Afia Siddiqui wanted him to move to Afghanistan, and work as a medic for the mujahedeens. Her husband filed for a divorce from this innocent daughter of the nation in August 2002 which was finalized on 21st Oct. 2002.
By this time Dr. Afia was free to do whatever she wanted single again and wanted to do what she wants.
In December 2002 Siddiqui made another trip to the U.S., saying that she was looking for a job. The FBI suspects that the real purpose of her trip was to open a P.O. Box for an alleged al-Qaeda operative, Majid Khan.
Siddiqui listed Majid Khan as a co-owner, and falsely identified him as her husband. The key of the P.O. box was later found in the possession of Uzair Paracha, who was convicted of providing material support to al-Qaeda, and sentenced to 30 years in federal prison in 2006.
Do you remember Khalid Sheik Muhammad, Ramzi Yousaf and Ammar Al Bluachi? All of them are Al Qaeda members involved in 9/11 and other plots against United States and are currently in Gito?
Guess what Dr. Afia Saddique married Ammar Al Blouchi in 2003 according to court record in Pakistan. Her husband Al Blouchi is a nephew of Khalid Sheikh Muhammad and cousin of Ramzi Yousaf. It is alleged that the majority of money that came to the hijackers from the UAE was transferred through Dr. Afias husband al-Baluchi. The 9/11 commission reported that he "helped them with plane tickets, traveler's checks, and hotel reservations", and "taught them about everyday aspects of life in the West, such as purchasing clothes and ordering food".
By early 2003, Dr. Afia was well connected as she was sleeping with Americas most wanted terrorist Ammar Al Blouchi. On March 1, 2003, Khalid Sheikh Mohammad, alleged chief planner of the September 11 attacks, was arrested in Pakistan. Its Khalid Sheikh Muhammad revealed Afia Siddiqui's name during his interrogation, as shortly thereafter a series of related arrests began.
In March 2003, the FBI issued a global "wanted for questioning" alert for Siddiqui and her ex-husband, Amjad Khan. While Siddiqui remained missing, Khan was questioned and subsequently released by the FBI. Her ex husband Mr. Khan accused Dr. Afia Saddique as "courier of Blood Diamonds and financial fixer for al-Qaida".[
By 2003-04, the FBI listed her as being one of the seven "most wanted" al-Qaeda fugitives, and said she was a "terrorist facilitator". In May 2004 the U.S. listed her among the seven "most wanted" al-Qaeda fugitives.
While the FBI had a worldwide alert for her Afia was hiding place to place to avoid capture. As she had advance knowledge on how to live like a fugitive and being advance fugitive, she moved to Afghanistan to avoid capture. By this time she has established her links through her husband family and other factions of Al Qaeda sympathizers in Afghanistan.
From 2003 to 2008 Dr.Afia moved around many times between Islamabad and Afghanistan. Its true that she never visited Karachi because she knew that she is a wanted person and will be arrested. Her family in the mean while got media attention and started blaming US and ISI for her disappearance from Karachi, not knowing that she is living in Afghanistan under an assume name of Saliha.
During her 'disappearance' from 2003 through 2008 according to her ex husband Khan, he saw her at Islamabad airport in April 2003 as she disembarked from a flight with her son. In 2005 he said he saw her in a Karachi traffic jam.
Siddiqui's maternal uncle, Shams ul-Hassan Faruqi, says he met her in January 2008 when she came to visit him in Islamabad, and asked for his help in order to cross over into Afghanistan where she thought she would be safe in the hands of the Taliban. Faruqi said that he immediately notified his sister, Siddiqui's mother, who came in the next day to meet her daughter. He said that Siddiqui stayed with them for two days.
Its funny that her mom has guts to come on national media of Pakistan and lie to the public before and after her conviction. The family keeps saying that she was arrested in Karachi by FBI which is untrue. In a recent interview with Pakistani anchor Mr. Hamid Mir, Afias sister admitted that she was captured in Ghazni Afghanistan.
Siddiqui was encountered on the evening of July 17, 2008, by officers of the Ghazni Province Afghanistan National Police outside the Ghazni governor's compound. Discovering that she did not speak either of Afghanistan's main languages, the officers regarded her as suspicious and searched her handbag. They found that she had a number of documents describing the creation of explosives, chemical weapons and radiological agents, as well as descriptions of various U.S. landmarks, including in New York City.
She also had documents detailing U.S. "military assets", excerpts from The Anarchist's Arsenal and "numerous chemical substances in gel and liquid form that were sealed in bottles and glass jars", according to the later complaint against her. She was accompanied by a teenage boy, who she claimed was an orphan she had adopted. She said her name was Saliha, that she was from Punjab Pakistan, and that the boy's name was Ali Hassan. The officers arrested her and took her to a police station, and DNA testing revealed that the boy was in fact was her oldest son, Ahmed.
On July 18th, 2008, two FBI agents, a U.S. Army officer, a U.S. Army captain, and their U.S. military interpreters arrived in Ghazni at the Afghan facility where Siddiqui was being held. They entered a meeting room, but did not realize that Siddiqui was standing unsecured behind a curtain in the same room, The warrant officer sat down adjacent to the curtain, and put his loaded M4 assault rifle on the floor by his feet, next to the curtain.
Siddiqui allegedly drew back the curtain, picked up the M-4 assault rifle, pointed it at the captain, threatened them loudly in English. She fired at least two shots at them, missing them, as the interpreter who was seated closest to her lunged at her and pushed the rifle. At that point the warrant officer returned fire with a 9-millimeter pistol, hitting her in the torso, and one of the interpreters managed to wrestle the rifle away from her.
During the ensuing struggle she initially struck and kicked the officers, while shouting in English that she wanted to kill Americans, and then lost consciousness. She was taken to Bagram Airport by helicopter in critical condition. She underwent emergency surgery and recovered over the next two weeks.
Siddiqui was charged on July 31, 2008, in the US Southern district of New York with assaulting with a deadly weapon, and with attempting to kill, U.S. personnel. Although no charges were filed against her for committing terrorism, separate charges will be filed after FBI completes its investigation.
Saddique faces 20 year sentence on attempted murder charge and life in prison on assault weapon charge alone.
Siddiqui's trial began on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, in New York. Prior to the trial, Siddiqui declared that she would boycott the trial, because she considered herself innocent of all charges, which she maintained she can prove, but refused to do that in court.[
Afia Saddique acted as insane person in the court. She insulted the judge, the jury and fired her lawyers to pretend she is not sane and cant stand trial. Here are few examples what she said in the court so you can judge it yourselves:
"If jurors have a Zionist or Israeli background...they are all mad at me,(...)I have a feeling everyone here is themsubject to genetic testing. They should be excluded if you want to be fair."[
she was "boycotting the trial (...) there are too many injustices. Im out of this".
"This isn't a fair court, (...) why do I have to be here?
There are many different versions of how this happened" referring to the alleged shooting.[
"I have information about attacks, more than 9/11!" (...) "I want to help the president to end this group, to finish them" (...) "They are a domestic, U.S. group, they are not Muslim. Im not lying, I swear!"
she reasserted the need for her to meet the president because:
"It's important!" (...) "The President( Obama) has to talk to me and this is the last opportunity I have once I'm sentenced" (...)
"God, it's important, and please don't ignore me for the sake of God and this beautiful country (USA)."[
Afia Saddique basically wanted to defend herself like her husband Ammar Al Blouchi. She was removed from the court because of her outbursts but brought back on a promise that she will stay quiet in the courtroom. Government of Pakistan although knowing her true face through ISI and CIA still under pressure from certain parts of public, provided her with a team of lawyers costing Pakistani tax payers 2,000.000.00.
These lawyers defended her vigorously in the court but she was her own enemy in the court. Her outbursts in the court, calling jury Jewish and insulting the Judge caused irreparable harm to her case. She then went on testifying against the advice of her lawyers to seal her fiat.
Although there were Inconsistencies in the testimonies and lack of forensic evidence collected at the crime scene, officers still testified to the incident. There were 6 people present or 10 people present at the crime scene, barrel of the gun was 1 meter away or 2 meter from the curtain cant let someone free. The fact still stayed that people were there and barrel was used to shoot according to the testimonies.
Its also true that no forensic evidence was collect or giving in the court and all evidence was eye witness testimonies and circumstantial in nature but enough to convict her. If it was a fake case, the testimonies will be accurate to the dot as the government will make all officers memorize the same story and the case will be flawless.
On February 3, 2010, she was found guilty of two counts of attempted murder, armed assault, using and carrying a firearm and assault on U.S. officers and employees and faces up to 60 years in prison. Sentence will be passed in May 2010.
Still not convinced that Dr. Afia Saddique has ties to Taliban and Al Qaeda? Here is the final proof recently printed in Pakistani media.
On Feb. 5th, 2010, By Mushtaq Yusufzai, The Nation newspaper printed a news that Afghan Taliban leader demanded Dr. Afia Saddique be released or he will execute American solider Bowe Bergdahl who he is holding hostage. He claimed Aafia Siddiquis family had approached the Taliban network through a Jirga of notables, seeking their assistance to put pressure on the US to provide her justice.
We tried our best to make the family understand that our role may create more troubles for the hapless woman, who was already in trouble. On their persistent requests, we have now decided to include Dr Aafia Siddiquis name in the list of our prisoners in US custody that we delivered to Americans in Afghanistan for swap of their soldier in our custody, explained the militant commander.
If you still think she is an innocent housewife who was abducted from her kitchen while she was cooking dinner for her husband, you are blind. Dr. Aafias husband is in Gito prison and she is in New York Prison where they both belong and world is a lot safer place without them.

pretty good story !!!! The movie is a sure bet... I wonder why Khan was released and allowed to romed around free ? No evidence, right ? When is the circumstantial evidences were good enough to convict someone ? Remember Johny Cochran ? Seems Johny Cochran is on the crown side in this case. I wonder if FBI can use the Braintree guy.He seemed pretty good at the circle. Not only that he can convince Jury that once he sees a face, he can recognize it after a decade. Pretty amazing !! Right ? No documents are needed. Good Judge who permitted him to testify ..Amazing Justice System. I will say it is God given.......

I actually loved the middle part of this movie.

"In May 2002, the (FBI) questioned Siddiqui and her husband regarding their purchase over the internet of $10,000 worth of night vision goggles, body armor and military manuals including The Anarchist's Arsenal, Fugitive, Advanced Fugitive, and How to make explosives or C-4.
Guess what she and her husband told FBI.

This is apparently happened in May 2002... After the 911... You think those FBI agents were very nice people. They let her go. What the heck was she doing ??? Purchasing Night Googles on the internet ?? And yet the FBI let her go ? Wow... These FBI guys are nice people. If I were their incharge I would fire them, right at the spot. Come on guys... That doesn't happen in real life.

Oh no... Guess what ? In December 2002 she was back in USA !!! after fleeing the USA in May of 2002 realizing she was investigated and perhaps wanted by FBI , Gheezez.. she was a brave son of a gun !!! or a daughter of a gun. But then again FBI didn't arrest her. What a nice bunch of pisanoos in FBI. The more and more I think, the plot is actually getting better and better....dream on dream on..

How can i forget this that AL Qaida was created funded and supported by america & IsI to fight with Russia coz america wanted to be super power
& when they got it then they declared them terrorist & it has been proved now that 9 /11 was inside job so if she become a part of
al qaida so its not her fault that was preaching of our army that go for jihad in kashmir & afghanistan against russia and this is how people
join these groups for sake of islam & then usa is non muslim state but pak army step back & these people become enemy of them which is
natural so they are all fighting for their existence and if she was saying stupid things in court room so if u will be tortured in jail so you
will loose ur mind as well and will say things like that while point to be noted she was saying that she wanna tell abt another group which is
usa based and took part in 9/11 so whats the harm in giving her a chance to listen but usa already know that they did it themself so why
would they listen her here is the proof
