Maryam Nawaz (and for that matter every potential leader of Pakistan) should face independent journalists or students of a reputed university who should ask from her about past policies of PML n and future strategies regarding economy, education, health, foreign affairs and regional security ..... Athar Minallah ignored all these things when he suspended the jail sentence of father and daughter. On top of that, he is not fixing the appeal of father-daughter duo against the sentence of lower court. I suspect that he is not fixing the appeal b/c IHC will then have to adjudicate the case and , in case Nawaz and Maryam are acquitted , NAB will immediately go to Supreme Court. On the other hand, NAB can’t go to SC if IHC doesn’t hear the appeal.
In a nutshell, IHC not hearing the appeal of Nawaz and Maryam is the license for Maryam roaming freely. Any lawyer on this forum can shed further light on this topic.
