Just another thought about "Sunnah"

In this day and age, the Sunnah according to which sect? The Barelvis, Soofis, Deobandis, Wahabis, Ahmedis, Ahl Hadees and Ahle Sunnah, Ahmedis, Ismailis, Shias with their subsects all claim to be following the Sunnah.

Those who go to graves of saints and regard Muhammad (AS) as Noor venerate saints and those who are dead against such practices all claim to be true followers of Sunnah. They are tearing each other apart on Youtube debates and calling each other "Out of fold of Islam!!" There are Youtube debates between Wahabis/ahle Hadith and Barevlis, ahle sunnat vs Deobandis, Ahmedis Vs Sunnis, ahle Hadith vs Deobandis, Sunnis vs Shias, etc. etc.

This word does not even occus in the Qur'an referring to The blessed Messenger!!

Javed Ghamdi believes that Hadith can be questioned but avoids the same for Sunnah?!! Says Qur'an has come down to us through transmission and so has Sunnah so both are preserved. Sorry, but Allah only gave assurance of the Qur'an is preserved!

We all practice Sunnah/handed-down-traditions knowingly and unknowingly. The important thing is to judge any practice against the Qur'an and then decide whether it is right or wrong.

There is a reason Allah chose to preserve His Criterion only.
