On December 21, Community came together to remember 132 children and 9 staff who were senselessly murdered in Peshawar, Pakistan. People from all walks of life, all backgrounds, all faith came in solidarity with Pakistani-Canadian. Mayor of Mississauga, Her worship, Bonnie Crombie, Senator Salma Ataullahjan, Deputy Counsel General of Pakistan, Member of Parliament and many faith groups were present. The event was organized by Moezzam Alvi, Tahir I. Qurishi and Tiger Aryan. More than 2000 people participated. This was the largest candle light vigil of its kind in Canada. The evening concluded with a passionate duaa by Moezzam Alvi.
