Sanders’ Iowa campaign director has apparently sent a memo to aides, saying they “have a viable path” to overtake Buttigieg.

Israel has nothing WHATSOEVER to do with this vote.
Democrat do not have a majority in the Senate. And even if they had a majority, Democrats would had broken the party line and had not removed him from the office: That's because of nature of the charges and evidence, and for political stability and local politics. Presently Trump has highest approval rating and his political base is fully behind him. (compare that to Pres. Nixon who had lost approval in public opinion and within his party which led to his resignation).
Most importantly US has learnt a lesson from the President Nixon's removal from the office - that had weakened the US political system in the public opinion for long and had led to toxic and divisive politics and had tarnished US image in the world- Don't expect that the Senate will remove a president in the future as well (unless some acute security issues were involved) . In US, President is chosen by the Electoral College and it is right that the parliament doesn't unduly gets involved into presidential elections.
