In my opinion no need to send the Army in Karachi.
This is a plan of MQM to blame the Army for extra judicial killings and rapes which MQM will commit by themselves.
MQM is a master of MAKKAR and then they will ask for UN to intervene.
Fully authorize Police and FC they can make it.

Remember Sudan, Indonesia and Libya same tacticts used there.

Actually you are right. Army might be a bad idea.

America does need another war to jump start their economy. Pakistan might be their chance to take advantage of.

Gen Kayani calls on president

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani called on President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday and discussed the law and order situation in Karachi.



The current security situation was discussed during the meeting, including deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi, the Presidents spokesman, Mr Farhatullah Babar, said.


A two-line official press release issued after the meeting did not give any details.


Although the army chief called on the president in connection with the Defence of Pakistan Day, a source at the Presidency said the meeting stressed that the action by civil security forces in Karachi should be across the board and against trouble-makers, irrespective of their party or group affiliation.


Later, President Zardari visited the Joint Chiefs of Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi here he met the army chief.

I think zardari has a dead line ... don't think army wants to linger this around for much longer . He either needs to bring the terrorists within givernment and crate a peaceful environment or things are gonna go on Mirza's sentiments ( I donno how legible the proofs are ) .

and every body had a jolly good time, keeping in mind the deteriorating situation of
law and order in Karachi.
