How murtaza was strongly against Zardaku because of his corruption and when Benazir sided with her husband instead of her brother, he became a strong critic of Benazir as well as PPPs govt and wanted to get rid of Zardari as he believed he was the root cause of all this corruption ( Which is pretty much true )

And Zardari couldn't have this thorn in his side so he murdered him in a fake police encounter. And guess who was involved in that fake encounter, Rao Anwar, that is why he is Zardaris blue eyed boy.
