Angry people may protest against Punjab CM: Interior Ministry

The Interior Ministry has said that some political elements may besiege Shahbaz Sharif’s residence.


In this regard, Interior Ministry has issued a letter to the Punjab government.

According to the ministry, some dengue-hit families and political elements may hold protest and observe a sit-in at Raiwind, affecting law and order situation.

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on Friday to review prevailing law and order situation in the province here.
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik also attended the meeting.
Interior Minister briefed the participants about the overall security situation in the country.
Federal Interior Secretary, NADRA chief, Chief Secretary Punjab, Home Secretary and Additional IG Police were also present.
