First of all, I was discussing an hypothetical scnario. She did not get any position, if she does, then we can discuss whether she has merit or not.

As of now, Reham got NO position.

BTW, in democracy and politics, merit is transparent elections. Within party, merit is transparent intra-party elections.

If hypothetically, Reham Khan contest intra-party elections for a position and the elections are transparent and she won it, she is totally on merit then.

Doing politics is EVERYONE's fundamental right. You can't take that away even if you want to. Saying "I don't want to see someone in politics" is your legal right, but morally it is wrong. You have no right to impose your will on others. You are not dictator of Pakistan.

However, campaign is not politics. If you are confused, that's your problem.

1) Constitutionally, Pakistan is a democratic country & PTI is a democratic party.
2) As a first lady, campaigning for her husband is a common practice in all democratic countries. (So there is nothing wrong if Reham, being Imran's wife, campaigns for her husband.)
3) Being a relative to the PM, President or Party Chairman doesn't bar you from participating in politics. (So if Reham decides to participate in politics, its her democratic right.)
One needs to worry when
1) if someone is appointed to hold a public office or party position without being elected through a proper channel. (In this particular case, Reham has not been appointed on any party position so there is nothing to worry about.)
2) if someone, who doesn't hold public office, is being given protocol ( personally i am against any kind of protocol because its waste of public money ) on the expense of tax payers' money is something to worry about. ( PTI members, workers and followers need to raise voice against this practice and give a message to party leadership that this kind of behavior is unacceptable because being first lady of PTI doesn't give her right to utilize public money.)
