Why we are so desperate to pay the debt?
Will these big civilized western nations pay back their debts? No not at all
For America, china ,Japan and some European countries its irreversible. So where we are heading?
Why don't we use Pakistan's revenue in Pakistan and pay our legitimate debt with nawaz and zardari and other 435 Panama scandal people?

For US, China etc their debts are in treasury bonds. For investors, their bonds are as good as currency, are trade-able in the open market and are a secure investment. To crudely simplify the situation, to payback these debts, the central banks of these countries have merely to swap treasury bond with "currency bonds" - just on computer sheets and data (Of course such a swap in the data has many consequences in the market but paying them back is not a great issue). The point is the debts of countries like Pakistan and US are not comparable. Rich countries are rich due to their national assets. For poor countries like Pak lacking assets, trade able production and national wealth . debts have real consequences on the economy, growth and development..
