Pakistan doesn't have to(solely for strengthening relations with US), because US history shows that they are only friends of their Interests. Their support starts at the start of their interests and ends when their interests end. You can of course play by the book and cooperate wherever necessary for mutual benefit but changing your interests for a selfish stake holder shouldn't be your agenda.
